As business people, we all know that to increase sales, build your market image or inform an audience, it takes confidence to perform well and meet our goals.
In print materials, that confidence comes not just from how the printing looks, but how it distinguishes your business. Not just from what it says, but how it speaks for you.
Lafayette Printing knows achieving that confidence takes more than bright colors and advanced technology. It takes a commitment to understanding who you are and what your business is all about.
Guiding Principles and a Little History
Lafayette Printing Company was founded by William F. Sattler in 1921. At the start, Lafayette Printing provided area banks with their day-to-day supplies and grain elevators with scale tickets.
William Sattler’s son, Bob, and nephew, Bill, took over the management of the company over time and in 1988 Dave Sattler (William’s grandson) assumed ownership with his partners Terry Lucterhand and Gary Buttry. Gary retired from the business in 2006, and in 2011 Lafayette Printing merged with Modern Graphics with Dave Sattler, Terry Lucterhand and Jim Clary now partners in managing Lafayette Printing, Modern Graphics (Peru, IN), and Hudson Printing (Anderson, IN).
Today, Lafayette Printing Company, is one of the best equipped printing plants in Northwest Indiana. With a 5-color Komori printing press, a cutting-edge digital Electronic Prepress Department, including CTP (computer-to-plate)and digital printing technology, full-service Bindery/Finishing Department, and a Large Format Printing/Finishing Department, Lafayette Printing does much of the high-end, Addy Award Winning, color printing in this part of Indiana.
While able to provide a substantial variety of printed materials and related services to any print buyer, Lafayette Printing’s primary customer base is college/university, medical, agribusiness, association, agency, business and industrial accounts.
In 2000, Lafayette Printing completed an extensive renovation of their original downtown Lafayette building. This work returned the structure to its original 1921 design.
